Surfing in Italy means different things.
A lot of people still don’t consider our country as a place suitable for surf, instead Italy has a lot of km of coastline that especially during autumn and winter can give to the surfers consistent swell and waves. That means italian surfers are willing to face the worst atmospheric conditions just for a good surfing session. Many of them usually have to embark their car on a ferry across the Mediterranean Sea for a long journey just to reach good surf spots.
It is natural that they slowly become very close “water friends” , sharing rain, wind, storms and low temperatures doing what they love the most and living their passion.
This is a photographic tribute that I would like to give to my special water friends.
